Heating Platen Dimensions

A = the platen length along the belt
B = the platen width across the belt, on the bias
C = belt width
D = bias angle

The platen length (A) is calculated by adding to the belt manufacturer's recommended splice length: 6 inches (150 mm) for fabric belt; 14 inches (355 mm) for steel-cord belt.

The platen width (B), which includes the bias angle, is determined according to the belt width:

Fabric belt, 22° bias: B = (C+150) × 1.07
Fabric belt, 17° bias: B = (C+150) × 1.05
Steel-cord belt, 22° bias: B = (C+200) × 1.07
Steel-cord belt, 17° bias: B = (C+200) × 1.05

Conveyor Belt Sectional Vulcanizer DSLQ-S

World Prime Services sectional vulcanizers are configured for hot vulcanized splicing of fabric-ply (EP) rubber conveyor belts and steel-cord (ST) rubber conveyor belts. Working-pressure configurations are available at 100PSI and 200PSI, with modular sections designed for field portability and adaptation to different splice lengths.

Technical Description

Heating platen with water cooling system

53 mm total thickness of Beltwin heating platen, insulating board covered by stainless steel (thickness 1.5-2 mm). Max temperature 200°C; 20-30 minutes can heat up to 145°C; the temperature difference across the whole surface is under ±5°C during dwell time.
Quick integral water cooling incorporated in the platen design; cooling via electric pressure pump is also workable. 10-15 minutes for fast cooling from 145°C to 75°C.
Different from other vulcanizers, this newly designed cooling system ensures less residual water after long-term use. Easy to clean the 10% remaining water in the platen with compressed air after cooling.

New Electrical Connector

World Prime Services uses European-standard plugs & sockets, with CE marks. The pins are larger, to avoid loose contact and burnt sockets. The new connection system can reduce this risk by 70-80%. Original "HARTING" brand connector available as an option.

Heating Element

Durable 5-layer "Silicone Element" heating system (2 silicone layers, 2 glass-fiber fabric layers and the heater).
Durable composite insulation makes it much safer.
Completely sealed to prevent oxidation and ensure a longer lifetime.
Flexible heating element offers uniform heating of the whole platen.
Etching technology under computer control, equalizing distribution of the heater and evenly spaced.

Lightweight Beams with Bolt & Nut Set

Beams made of lightweight extruded aluminum.
Standard beams use grade 7005 aluminum; beams for vulcanizers over 1,200 mm belt width use grade 6082 aluminum. Almex-style E type cross beam available as an option.
Recessed high-tensile steel nut/bolt assemblies, made of 45# steel.
Nut and bolt housed within the beam — much safer.
Anodized beams, which offer longer-lasting protection and a better appearance compared with painting.
Complete section makes sure the beam structure stays as original — much safer.
Easy to assemble, no need for a tension wrench.

Pressure System

Pressure bag made of durable fabric-reinforced rubber ensures uniform pressure across the splice surface. The rubber inner bag expansion rate is 600-700%, about 200-300% higher than others. For example, one 200 mm piece of rubber can be extended to 1,000 mm with no damage, making sure the rubber will not develop small holes after expansion and will not leak after long-term use.
The rubber material costs 3 times more than normal rubber.
The pressure bag includes inner bag, fabric, rubber layer and outside protection layer. After production, the bag is tested keeping 260PSI/18 BAR pressure for 2 hours, making sure it will not have any problem at 200PSI working pressure.

The DSLQ-RS edge repair vulcanizer is the version of the DSLQ-R line dedicated specifically to belt-edge repair.

Cross Beam Repair Vulcanizer DSLQ-RV

Operation pressure 100PSI or 200PSI. Cross beam repair vulcanizers are designed to customers' requirements on request. Depending on the model and the size of the heating platens, they can be used for spot and rip repairs.
